We use a proprietary laser protocol that customizes each treatment to a client's unique skin type. Our laser includes two technologies: the Nd:YAG for darker skin tones and the Alexandrite, ideal for lighter skin tones.

It depends. The laser needs pigment in the hair follicle to target. Some shades of blonde and red may have enough pigment to detect. Bleach or white blonde hair is typically not successful. We cannot treat clients with recent sun exposure or any active tan, including from sunless tanners or tanning beds. A pigment change from your natural skin tone can make laser hair removal less safe and less effective. When skin is darker from a tan, the laser may absorb more into the skin instead of just the hair. This increases the chances of burns and pigmentation changes. Use SPF and wear protective clothing if you're going to be outside.

At-home or DIY devices mostly use IPL, which isn't true laser technology, or a weaker Diode laser. They require consistent use, can be time-consuming, and often don't work on all skin tones. In the U.S., these devices are classified as cosmetic products, meaning they face less rigorous safety and efficacy evaluation than in-clinic lasers.
